First blog, thought I'd join the band wagon like most of my friends and see what all the fuss and commotion's about. My ears are wide open... I HEAR NO COMMOTION. hahaha it's not a big deal but it's entertainment. So i made this blog to be cool like everyone else but i am a bit different. This blog is not only to talk about my life but to capture the life of New York. For those of you who aren't privileged enough or economically stable to come to New York i will be your insider. Along the way I'll share a few details or a variety of details that i presume will enlighten you. For now i will share a few details of myself so that you as the reader won't think that i am a weirdo as well as, crazy and random.
Now that you know a little about me why don't you tell me a little about yourself? I believe that life is basically a long line of networks and connections. The connections you build and the friends you make will either make or break you. Like my mother always says " You are who you surround yourself with." But then again, can you really judge a book by it's cover when presented with that kind of terminology? Currently i am sitting in my living room in my mother's apartment located in Washington Heights. A neighborhood that is filled with noisy, kindhearted, illegal, successful, determined, Hispanics. I have lived here all my life and yet i feel that i have not experienced as much or that i don't belong. Tourists have seen more than i have and yet i am not driven to explore. Recently i went on my second driving attempt with my beloved father who is such a dictator in his own way through Fort Tryon Park . I noticed while i was trying not to kill pedestrians and assassinate pigeons the museum of Cloisters. I came across the Cloisters in my Art100 class at the College of Staten Island due to the topic of Gothic architecture. Now i am curious to go in there and do some exploring, since spring break is coming i am thinking of becoming a tourist for one week. Go with my honey bunches of oats and do some exploration in many museums of New York City. Future blogs will be written about my exploration in the heart of New York and the many thrills and turns of it all. Now i am afraid i must leave you due to the fact that i am procrastinating too much. While i should be writing my paper for English, the beat of Washington Heights runs threw my veins. My last note is to remember that a fools gold is another person's treasure.Let the music live on for i am afraid that is all we will ever truly love.
